Italy at the 59th edition of the Summer Fancy Food Show New York, June 30-July 2, 2013 Home again! The Italian exhibitors are happy to return to New York City after the show's two successful editions in Washington DC. Italy will be present in full force this year, with over 290 companies representing all the 20 regions of the Peninsula. Across a broad spectrum of tens of gourmet food categories, the Italian producers, regions, export consortiums and chambers of commerce will all be on hand to showcase the very best in Italian gastronomy. Italy ranks in the Top 10 of exporters of food and beverage into the US and continues to climb thanks to the demand for authenticity, quality and health benefits. More and more Americans are becoming fans of the healthy and natural Mediterranean diet. The Italian exhibitors will offer for tasting a wide spectrum of products showcasing the country's climate, geography, terroirs and history from North to South, with a taste of the distinct regional delicacies. Traditional favorites such as olive oil, prosciutto, pasta, cheese, coffee and wine will accompany newcomers such as Italian salumi and Prosciutto Toscano, recently allowed to enter the US. A wide selection of gluten-free products will be on hand, as well as a multitude of organic and natural delicacies.
