The largest ever number of Italian exhibitors is getting ready to impress with exceptional products More than 300 companies will proudly represent all of Italy at the 60th Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. This year's group will spread on both levels of the Javits Convention Center in a single AREA ITALIA. All food and beverage categories will be displayed and offered for sampling: from oil- and balsamic-preserved vegetables, fresh pasta and delicious sweets to ready-to-eat meals, organic cheeses and meats, and natural wines and liqueurs. The spectrum of the Italian participation at a Fancy Food show has never been broader. Individual producing companies, cooperatives, consortia, associations and chambers of commerce will welcome the visitors to what has come to mean The Taste of Italy away from Italy. At the end of 2013, Italy ranked 8th among the food and beverage exporting nations to the US with an increase of 7.20%, but came in a secure first place in most important categories, such as olive oil, cheese, pasta and wine. More and more Americans increasingly demand authenticity, quality and health benefits, the very definition of the Mediterranean Diet. The Italian exhibits will showcase the country's climate, geography, terroirs and history from North to South. Most importantly, they will offer the distinctive taste and qualities of the authentic foods and beverages Made in Italy. The complete directory of the Italian exhibitors will be available as an insert of the official show catalog and website, as well as on the official web site of the Food & Wine Sector of the Italian Trade Commission in New York www.italianmade.com. The food and wine sector of the Italian Trade Commission in New York provides industry information, produces trade publications, organizes tastings, food demonstrations, events, seminars, press trips and tradeshow pavilions across the country. For more information please visit www.ItalianMade.com, the official site dedicated to the foods and wines of Italy or contact The Italian Trade Commission directly by telephone 212. 980.1500 fax 212.758.1050 or e-mail newyork@ice.it.
