Yo-Goat. For snack time. For anytime. CoachFarm.com ® Plain, Strawberry, Blueberry, Mango Peach and our new favor Blackberry. Summer Fancy Food Show Booth 2368 retailer profile Choza Taqueria. Chef Akhtar Nawab (of Craft, La Esquina, and Elettaria fame) and business partners Matt Wagman and David Albiero bring to the market an authentic Mexican taco shop. Chef Nawab recently joined Choza, which has two existing Manhattan locations, and the Gotham West Market location is the team's first joint venture. Choza's counter serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night menus inspired by the food stands of northern Mexico. Dishes will include a variety of tortas, tamales, tacos, burritos, salads, churros, and ceviche, with a selection of fresh juices, Mexican beers, and margaritas on tap. The design of the space draws inspiration from bustling Mexican marketplaces with clay pots and colorful glass vessels throughout. The new menu is designed exclusively by Nawab. "The new extension of Choza will allow us to bring new flavors and dishes to our concept, whether it's slow-roasted suckling pig taquitos with pistachio mole or mahi mahi, heart of palm, and passion fruit ceviche," Nawab says. "We are looking forward to feeding our new clientele." Hours unavailable at presstime. Court Street Grocers Sandwich Shop. This outpost of Brooklyn's Court Street Grocers in Carroll Gardens focuses on its warm gourmet sandwiches. Offerings include the popular pork shoulder sandwich, comprising confit of pork shoulder, mayo, provolone, broccoli rabe, red peppers, and Pecorino Romano on a hero roll; the beef shank, made with sweet gorgonzola, cara- melized onion, red peppers, arugula, and red wine vinaigrette on a potato roll; and the Uncle Chucky, a vegetarian sandwich of roasted cauliflower, pureed mushrooms, raw kale, and pickled onions on a hero roll. "Being a hero shop here at Gotham, we thrive on the fantastic lunch crowd," say co- owners Eric Finkelstein and Matt Ross. The duo say all the sandwiches are great, but the Italian Combo should not be missed. Mon.– Fri.: 8 a.m.–8 p.m.; Sat.–Sun.: 9 a.m.–6 p.m. El Colmado. Award-winning chef Seamus Mullen of Tertulia heads this classic Spanish tapas bar. Grab a seat at one of the 18 bar seats for a view of the chefs preparing tapas and small plates to share, like arroz negro, black rice with uni; chanquetes fritos, crispy whiting fried in olive oil; or pulpo a la plancha (marinated octopus). Snacks or bites, called mordiscos, include an Iberico ham croquette with quince paste, deviled eggs with smoked cod and roasted pepper, and almonds fried in olive oil with dried lemon and Urfa pepper. "Our cuisine is in the language of Spanish cooking comprised of dishes that are easy to share," says Dana Staley, head sommelier. El Colmado also offers Iberian wines and sherry on tap.
