Artisan Biscuits and The Fine Cheese Co. Seasons Gift Tins. For its new line of seasonal cookie tins, Artisan Biscuits commissioned British art- ist Clare Melinsky to depict the four sea- sons through eight linocut illustrations (two per season). Each round silver tin embossed with the wraparound design contains all- butter cookies in a variety of seasonal fla- vors and themed shapes. The autumn tins feature Toffee Apple Hedgehogs or Double Chocolate and Hazelnut Squirrels, while the winter tins are filled with Mincemeat Robbins and White Chocolate and Cranberry Stars. artisanbiscuits.co.uk; finecheese.co.uk Brix 4-Piece Tasting Party Gift Set with Cutting Board & Knife. When pul- monologist Dr. Nick Proia found a dearth of chocolates on the market that paired well with wine, he decided to create some. The com- pany's new kit includes everything consumers need to host parties with wine and chocolate pairings (except the wine itself). The set con- tains 3-ounce bars of all four varieties of Brix chocolate—milk, smooth dark, medium dark, and extra dark—a cutting board, knife, and tasting guide written by wine master Phillip Goodband. The guide offers wine pairing sug- gestions for each of the chocolate varieties. For those who don't need the full setup, Brix also offers The Brix Collection Four Variety Gift Set: a pound of the company's chocolate in all four varieties, along with a chocolate and wine tasting guide. brixchocolate.com Brooklyn Brew Shop Hard Cider Kit. The DIY trend has spawned kits for cheese, beer, and now hard cider. Brooklyn Brew Shop, known for its stovetop, 1-gallon beer-brewing kit, has just introduced a cider version with everything needed, save a funnel and pasteurized apple cider, to turn out three batches. These essentials include a glass fermenting jug, racking cane, tubing clamp, airlock, clear vinyl tubing, screw-cap stopper, three packets of hard cider yeast, and three packets of sanitizer. All but the yeast and sanitizer packets are reusable, so recipients can brew again and again. To make the hard cider, users simply pour the apple cider and yeast into the sanitized jug, let ferment for two weeks, pour (along with sugar) into bottles, seal the bottles, let sit for another two weeks, and chill. brooklynbrewshop.com Harney & Sons Children's Tea Time. This year, Harney is intro- ducing several new gift items, great for tea lovers—even young ones. Children's Tea Time is a whimsical kit that contains a 10-ounce yellow-orange mug, permanent tea filter, tea scoop, 4-ounce tin box of naturally caffeine-free Strawberry Kiwi Fruit Tea, and two 3.5-ounce boxes of animal- shaped cookies in strawberry and toffee varieties, from Artisan Biscuits' Two by Two line of children's biscuits.
