Prerequisites to purchasing 30 years ago hold true today: quality ingredients, convenient solutions, skilled preparation, and appetizing appearance. Interest was high among consumers ages 18 to 54 but most prevalent with young, affluent shoppers who fit the "yuppie" stereotype of the day.
